The life of a Sugah Gal is indeed a busy one – we spend hours at our computers each day, we have busy home lives and we work out a little (and maybe don’t do all the stretching and mobility our trainer tells us to). So, when the opportunity came up to have a sports massage from the lovely Hana at At One, well, this achy, tight necked Sugah Gal Erinn jumped at the chance.
At One is located the Portview Centre in East Belfast, as soon as I walked through the door I was transported to a world of pure relaxation and tranquillity. It didn’t stop there – once I competed my registration I was brought to the treatment room, ‘the dark room’ – it’s designed and created to make you feel completely safe and cocooned for total relaxation.
Based on the information I provided at registration, my massage was tailored especially for me, meaning I chose the pressure I like and my particular areas of concern (neck and shoulders always).
Hana made me feel comfortable from the start and is an exceptionally thorough masseuse, she worked methodically through each area of my body, helping relieve tensions of the week and focused on areas that I had identified as particularly uncomfortable. By the end of the massage I was genuinely in the highest state of physical relaxation I could be and I floated out the door. That night I slept soundly for 9 full hours!!
Next time I will be going for The Head Melt – a combination of Reiki, guided meditation and a bespoke facial that promises to melt away tension from the head, neck and shoulders and leave my energy and skin cleansed and restored – BLISS!
At One Portview was a delightful spot to find nestled along the Newtownards Rd, I can’t wait to return! Need some me time – Email for an appointment today.
