Jenny McCalmont, the beautiful owner is the epitome of a strong woman in business, she is at the helm of a long standing business, which spanning 6 years and employs a vast team of fantastic ladies who are all top of their game.
The beauty boutique has undergone an extensive refurbishment and it looks AMAZING. We were really impressed by the spaciousness of the salon and how well it is laid out.
The treatment rooms look so very comfortable and we plan to book in for a facial and hot stone massage in the not too distant future!
There were a number of treatments on offer throughout the evening, we took advantage of the face mapping service with Coleen from Ciara Daly Make-Up. We picked up SO many fabulous tips on getting the most from our makeup brushes and some great advice on make up, namely concealing and contouring.
Coleen used a range of widely available and very affordable products she certainly dispelled the myth that it’s essential to buy all your products from an expensive make up counter – but she stressed the point that your brushes and your application technique are the most important weapons in your make-up arsenal. Beyoutiful stocks and sells a wide range of the Ciara Daly brushes, should you find it hard to get to Ciara’s studio on the Lisburn Road!
“The lovely Chloe got my very sad bare nails dickied up with an oxblood colour of gel nails; I wear my nails short and sometimes I find it hard to decide on a colour so I always fall back to red.
This evening I was happy to take Chloe’s advice on this fab colour – I feel like I need to dig out my old Doc Martens to complete the look.
The beauty boutique is stocking a new product called Gel Break from OPI, a professional treatment to use between Gel manicures. This is a God send for me as I find when I have Gel treatments back to back the condition of my nails bombs, and I “sometimes” remove my Gels rather agriculturally which certainly doesn’t help!
I was really happy to get the low down on this treatment, which I think I would use between every 2 Gel applications”.
Other treatments on the night included massages, facials and blow dries, but the treatment that really provoked the WOW factor from all guests was the hair plaiting service.
“I am of the short haired variety, so as much as my graduated bob tried, it was not going into a plait, but every single lady who had a one looked great, I was happy for them but definitely had a pang of envy!
The stylists in the beauty boutique advised that the plaits can last up to 4 days – perfect for holidays.
A special mention to Amanda from Bluebird Catering; the spread was delicious and we will dream about the white chocolate strawberries for a long time… We may have had more than one…Hey we didn’t have any dinner and needed to keep the energy levels up!
The night was definitely a success and we really had all the feels to be surrounded by so many lovely ladies all sharing stories over a glass of bubbly and enjoying themselves – “When women support each other, incredible things happen” – Happy International Women’s Day!
