The Sugah Gals were invited to Souls Restaurant on Dublin Road to try their new lunch menu before It launched to the public and we were blown away by both the restaurant and the food.
Let’s start with the décor – we loved the warm and welcoming feeling of this beautiful, chic eatery; coupled with the beautiful displayed local art by Hugo Smith, you can see a lot of love went into the planning of the restaurant.
On first impression it seems like a small venue, until escorted up stairs to a delightfully open, airy and arty space. The vibe is relaxed, but voguish and we really got it!
Greeted by the restaurant manager Maria, who has a wealth of hospitality experience behind her and very passionate owner Pankaj, we mingled with the staff and other bloggers at the event before being seated to try the new lunch menu.
Dished Up – mini serving of each of the new lunch items – super cute!
Souls has converted me. The cod and chips were beautifully presented and the fish itself was so fresh, the batter light that you could tell was prepared freshly that day – winner!
I have to be honest, this was so filling even as a mini taster – I would expect the lunch to fill you well into the evening.
We had to try a veggie option and the Paneer Tikka offered us this opportunity. This dish was all about the presentation and aromas – goodness it just looked and smelled so good, it didn’t disappoint on the taste front either.
At this point I was already pretty full, but a glass of Prosecco accompanied by 2 glasses of water and I decided to finish my tasting with the petitie Chicken Liver Parfait on Melba Toast. This was a dish I very much missed when expecting my children and I order as a starter at every restaurant I visit if on the menu.
Souls Chicken Liver Parfait on Melba Toast was smooth and so very tasty, again obvious that this was made fresh on the premises and I will definitely be back for it again!
- Full Up – In addition to the above dishes, the new menu features:
Chicken Caesar Salad
Home made beef burger
