Sugahfix.com was launched in April 2008 as an answer to the lack of fashion information for shoppers in Northern Ireland.
As an avid reader of Vogue and ELLE since the tender age of 10, and with the arrival of shopping magazines like Grazia and Look, it was still rare to find the fabulous fashion featured within the glossy pages in the shops in Northern Ireland – unless it was from Topshop. (We will love Topshop forever for being in NI through thick and thin!).
With a history of independent boutiques we were not fashion starved but there was a huge gap between what was available and what was featured in the big fashion publications. As a marketing professional and media buyer I was eternally frustrated that I couldn’t reach the fashion buying females of Belfast. When working in marketing at Paul Stafford Hairdressing we published our own in-house magazine called Gloss in 2004. The acclaim and success of this digest-sized glossy magazine featuring fashion and beauty photoshoots created using local hairdressers, makeup artist, models and photographers made me hungry for the next big thing and online was just beginning to explode. Inspired by online magazines like Handbag.com and DailyCandy.com I decided to create Sugahfix.com to deliver fashion and beauty features and news that are 100% relevant to women in Northern Ireland.
Sugahfix has grown and developed over the years with my own career as a photoshoot producer and fashion and beauty stylist – always with the customer firmly in focus. If you can’t see it, buy it, or experience it right here in Northern Ireland – or order it online – I don’t feature it.
Statistics and constant feedback have shaped the content with social media channels being an essential element of the ‘Sugahfix’ – that tasty little bite of what’s new and fabulous – and that you can buy in a store near you.
The blog has become known for it’s original photography, high quality fashion shoots, extensive catwalk galleries and Style Spotter style commentary. Sugahfix is the result of many creative individuals collaborating to create something a little different than regular fashion and style blogs and we hope you love it.

You can contact me by DM via any of the channels above. Sorry I had to remove my email address as I was constantly being added to pointless mail lists ☹
Please don’t add my email to media lists – it’s guaranteed to be deleted.
Please also note – unless it’s a product or service you can buy in Northern Ireland – or online that delivers to Northern Ireland – I can’t, and won’t, write about. Ever.
Big hugs and love
