andrewmulvena300.jpgTwice winner of Northern Ireland's Hairdresser of the Year Andrew Mulvenna, is taking his salon to a new downtown location and creating Northern Ireland's first ‘metro spa' experience.

The new venture will open its doors in Autumn 2008 in Victoria Street, Belfast spanning 4,500 sq ft just yards from the main House of Fraser entrance and the law courts.

The new concepts at Andrew Mulvenna's metro spa location, including 8am opening, a dedicated blow-dry bar, male grooming zone incorporating a wet-shave area, colour studio, coffee dock, Kerastase spa therapy, in-house beauty treatments and also an academy for budding hairdressers to learn their trade.

Also taking precedence in the salon will be ‘My New Hair', a wig personalisation service. The ‘My New Hair' foundation was established by fellow professional Trevor Sorbie along with a leading network of salons famed for their skills and talent including Andrew Mulvenna for Northern Ireland, offering their skills and service in an initiative to help people suffering from medical hair loss. Andrew will commit his time, skill and energy on a one-to-one basis for those affected to feel great and more importantly confident about wearing wigs.

Working alongside Andrew, his creative team will be predicting new trends and collaborating with some of Northern Ireland's most pioneering conceptual designers, artists and students showcasing their creativity, originality and inspiration transforming a salon by day to exhibition space by night.
