weledaBy Andrea McVeigh.

We're big fans of Weleda products at Green Living HQ, so we're thrilled to see a new range of products added to the range.

Wild rose leaf, iris root and distilled witch hazel are the primary ingredients of the very first Weleda Cleansing Facial Care range - we're just amazed that they've never brought out a cleansing range before.

Based on completely natural plant oils and extracts, the range, which features the One-Step Cleanser & Toner (£9.95); the Gentle Cleansing Milk (£9.95) and the Refining Toner (£9.95), gently and thoroughly removes make-up and impurities.

What we loved about it was that it offers deep cleansing, without leaving and skin dry, so you get that fresh face feel without the flakiness.

The ingredients work in combination to provide both care and cleansing.

Distilled witch hazel is a gentle astringent with a calming and cooling effect while extract of wild rose leaf has revitalising properties.

Soothing and moisturising, iris root contains naturally derived anti-oxidants to refresh and renew.

We test tried the One-Step Cleanser & Toner and found that the milky lotion works well on normal and combination skin, providing deep-cleansing action with an added toning effect.

And we loved the fresh citrus scent, which left us feeling fresh and revived.

The brand stands for everything we hold dear about green living.

It upholds an holistic approach to beauty and health, believing that health isn't just a lack of disease but an integrated state of physical, mental and social well-being.

With these values in mind, most of its natural ingredients are farmed biodynamically while other essential plant ingredients are ethically sourced.

Its bodycare products are made without animal testing, petrochemicals or GM ingredients, and its minimal packaging is recyclable too.

Available from independent health stores and pharmacies, you can find out more about the brand at www.weleda.co.uk.
