Lucy celebrated her 25th birthday in style, being whisked away to London for the weekend by hubby Matt.

Always on the hunt for local treasures when on her travels - Lucy reports back to Sugahfix on her little London gems.

Now 25 years old, my hubby took me to London to celebrate. Matt booked tickets for us to watch 'Wicked' in the West End starring Rachel Tucker - who was amazing. Beforehand we went to dinner at Gaucho which serves the finest Argentine Steaks. It had a great atmosphere and I ordered the 300g fillet steak, which I devoured all by myself - it was my birthday afterall!.

While in London, I heard about a fab jewellery designer/maker called Vanya Ganderton and visited her studio to find out more. Vanya is extremely talented and naturally creative and produces beautiful, girly and covetable handmade fashion jewellery with a vintage vibe.

Since launching 'Jewellery by Vanya' a year ago it has grown from strength to strength. Her pieces have featured in Elle, Grazia, Marie Claire, Talter and many more. Vanya studied Fashion Design at Winchester School of Art and organised a period of work experience in New York. Vanya loved her time in New York assisting with sourcing and design which led her a new passion, making professional jewellery.

Working from her small studio with vintage floral curtains, vintage radio and a set of table drawers full of the prettiest Swarovski, glass beads and charms. Many of her jewellery pieces are cast from moulds from the 60s - 70s with Vanya's inspiration coming from all things romantic. The stunning pendants have a charm infused feel which make them the perfect gift or special treat for yourself.

These pieces can be worn on their own or take a tip from the catwalk and layer gold with silver and mix and match your charms: from ‘Love Note' to ‘Keepsake' heart lockers and ‘Carnival' pieces the wearer can create a totally individual look.
