I was invited to the British Consulate on the Tuesday night is Los Angeles where British Consul-General Dame Barbara Hay gave a welcome speech.

I needed a glam dress for the event and spotted lots of stunning dresses at Sarah-Jane Boutique in Magherafelt when I was filming the 'Can you keep a secret?' campaign.  Mid Ulster ladies have a fashion gem right on their doorstep with SJ Boutique - and ladies - here's a fashion tip - it's well worth the trip if you're looking for something a little different for that wedding or special event!

I needed something sophistcated but with a little fashion edge - there were so many my head was turned but I chose this gorgeous pewter strapless dress with lots of detail on the skirt by Umesh - just to the knee - which fitted the bill perfectly. 

I got lots of compliments on my dress and a few admiring glances from LA fashionistas and it was great to be able say my dress was from an exclusive boutique in Magherafelt - I'd say that's a few points notched up for the style credentials of Northern Ireland!
