Paul Meekin at Partners talks Bridal Hairstyles and 3D lashes!

It's always wedding season in hair salons - as long as people keep falling in love, there'll be weddings to attend.

So when I talk about wedding hair, I don't keep it specific to the summer season, this advice goes for all year round.

Nor do I just talk about hair for the bride and her party - the mother of the bride, bridesmaids and mother in law. I'm including the guests too. And the groom - don't forget about our male grooming salon, where we offer everything from haircuts to hot shaves, male waxing to manicures.

We get as many wedding guests coming into the salon looking for something a bit special or different as we do brides.

The nation has seen three significant weddings this year, each one perfectly summing up a different approach to wedding hair.

In April, we had the fairytale wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, and a nation of women swooned, not over the heir to the throne, but the hair to the throne - Kate's gorgeous silky locks.

Kate may have erred on the side of sophistication on her big day, but it's her trademark long, bouncy everyday style which has got women excited.

I've had ladies of all ages coming into the salon to ask me about recreating the look, whether they're getting married or simply going to a summer BBQ.

If you fancy K-Middy's locks, what you're after is basically a big bouncy blow-dry.

I'll dry the hair using a big round brush, leaving it to set under one of our modern stand-alone dryers.

Then I'll switch the setting to cool, to allow cooling air to keep the bounce in place, while adding a few of our very biggest rollers for added oomph.

It's a great look and one which we'll be seeing a lot more of over the coming months - it also works wonderfully well with the 1970s fashion revival - so keep those straightners assigned to the back of the drawer for the next few months!

Of course, with this look, it helps if your hair is in great condition to start with.

So if you need a helping hand to restore tired hair I recommend TIGI Urban Antidotes Number 3.

Sugahfix readers who get a colour treatment done in Partners this month can try it for free - and as well as the Urban Antidotes treatment we'll throw in a scalp massage too, just quote 'Sugahfix' when you phone up to book your appointment.

Kate-Moss-WeddingThe other big fashionista wedding this year was when the 'other' Kate married her rock 'n' roll boyfriend Jamie Hince.

Mossy managed to pull off looking glamorous and gorgeous while appearing super-relaxed too.

The supermodel was never going to turn into an over-groomed Bridezilla mind you, and her natural looking hair-do with middle parting gave off a suitably boho vibe.

When this year's second royal bride, Zara Phillips, got hitched, she went for a more traditional bridal look - a simple-yet-stylish chignon on the back of her neck and a tiara (although most brides wouldn't be able to pick up their tiara from the royal collection!)

At the salon we offer brides and their wedding guests the full package - hair as well as pampering beauty treatment and extras such as nails and now, thanks to our gal Lucy, eyelash extensions too.

Lucy had been pestering us for month to get in the new 3D Lashes from AH Francis. And I can sum up why she was so impressed by them in just one word - wow!

These semi-permanent lashes are made from silk and last for up to two months, offering you longer thicker-looking lashes without the hassle of mascara or disposable false lashes.

Sugahfix gal Andrea - a self-confessed eyelash extension fanatic - tried a set and here's what she had to say about them:

"Lucy the eyelash technician was great and talked me through each step of the process.

"I loved the fact that the lashes come in two different types of curl and in numerous different lengths. Of course, I went for the longest and curliest for extra emphasis!

Paul_Meekin_lashes"I loved the way the lashes looked natural though and Lucy explained that it's because they're applied individually to your own lashes, whereas some other lash extensions are applied in clumps.

"I've been fluttering my lashes ever since and have had loads of compliments about them. I love them."

A full set of lashes will take from around one hour to 90 minutes to apply and prices start from around £70 for a fresh full set.

What else we're loving this month:

The A/W fashion colour palette - all those berry tones and jewel shades look wonderful!

Our special beach body offer - book a bikini wax during August and get a free eyebrow wax.

Bar Culture CDs - we're playing them in the salon this month and rocking out to some classic club grooves.

Our reclining pod-style hair washing basins - you can lie back and we'll switch on the massage function while you get your hair washed. Pure bliss.
