We've gone colour crazy in the Partners salon.
The big thing I'm working on this month is the new TIGI Copyright Colour collection - TIGI's new professional range of colour products. You can find the official video for it here on YouTube.
It's very exciting as it allows the hairdresser to create any colour they want, to suit the individual. This is the first time this can be done in terms of colour creation and Partners is the first salon in Ireland to launch it.
It has been designed to totally suit you and your needs, likes and dislikes and it's free from PPD (para-phenylenediamine) which is in most hair dyes and which can cause allergic reactions.
Sugahfix readers can try the Copyright Colour Gloss with a cut for just £50 - just phone and quote Sugahfix when you're making your appointment (tel: 02890 455444).
The other amazing thing about it is that the finish is like a sheet of glass because it utilises what TIGI call 'creative intelligence' which means it can be mixed with other products in the TIGI range.
That means we can apply a permanent (for lift within the hair) and a semi-permanent on the hair shaft for a perfect shine!
We recently had a workshop in the salon with TIGI's Irish Ambassador team to showcase the colour, and all the models were local girls who loved the finished result - wearable glossy styles.
The other big news here is that we're all getting in the mood for Valentine's Day and we want to share the love with you!
We have a romantic couple's Valentine special for Sugahfix readers that features a massage, a facial, bubbly to drink, chocolate and a blow dry. It's valued at £100 but we're offering it for £50, but book early as there are only a few places available over the next few weeks.
We're still loving the vintage look in hair and big, bouncy curls are still popular so the soft, wavy look is set to be a summer winner.
Men are getting into the classic short back and sides look and even side partings are making a comeback.
Where women's hair trends lead the way, the look for men usually follows. That means the stylish vintage look is back for men too, just look at David Beckham and Gary Barlow for evidence.
What else we're loving this month:
Our new pin-up girl is The Artist actress Bérénice Bejo. I love her 1920s-style waves and pin curls in the movie and in real life she's every bit as gorgeous. Lots of women want her sexy French look.
We're also loving our Princess Packages - these specially-designed packages for girls aged 7-10 years and 11-13 years include putting their hair in loose curls, applying light make-up, doing their nails and offering the younger girls a cup cake and a cold drink (£18). For the 11-13 age group we also offer a spray tan or a mini facial (£25) - these packages are great for birthday parties, and for mum-and-daughter bonding days.
The other thing I am excited about this month is Cuffs and Collars' cheeky butlers' service. It's the great idea of a friend of mine, Colm Curran, and he caused a real stir when he called into the salon on a busy Saturday wearing very little on top, basically just his cuffs and collar! Our staff and clients were very excited, to say the least! You can contact him on 07849 595590 - it's a great giggle for a girly night-in party or to make your product launch that extra bit special.
