The countdown to the Belfast MTV EMAs 2011 has well and truly begun and the event just keeps getting bigger- while Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Jessie J, Coldplay and LMFAO are all confirmed to be performing at the Awards in the Odyssey, two other massive live concerts have now been announced.
On November 5th, the night before the EMAs, MTV Live at the Ulster Hall will feature performances from some of the world’s A-list musical stars. The line-up will be revealed at www.mtv.co.uk and www.belfastcity.gov.uk/musicweek and tickets are available via the box office www.ulsterhall.co.uk or by calling 028 9033 4455.
Belfast’s other major landmark, City Hall, will also play host to an historic outdoor concert on November 6th, coinciding with the Music Awards Ceremony.
Our very own local lads Snow Patrol will be playing live alongside chart-topping singer/songwriter Jason Derulo and US rock trio Boyce Avenue as the awards are held across three venues for the first time ever. The third venue will be announced closer to the date.
Around 15,000 people will now have the opportunity to be part of the biggest event ever to be staged in Belfast at the City Hall gig.
Tickets for the City Hall concert are free and will be available from the Belfast Welcome Centre, Donegall Place, from this Sunday, October 16 at 8am. You can also apply for tickets by phone on 028 9024 6609 or online at www.gotobelfast.com. For more information contact the Belfast Welcome Centre on 028 9024 6609.
Tickets for the Odyssey Awards Ceremony can be won by going into the Swatch shop in Victoria Square and either ‘checking in’ on 4Square or recording a dance video in-store.
