Finally it's week eight, which can only mean one thing for us at Fashion Pharmacy - twice the performances and twice the number of outfits to love or hate!
He used to be our favourite - the very lovely Danyl - but that neckline seems to be getting lower every week and it's a wee bit eeewww now. The brown did suit him though, he really suits plain clothes. He also looked very relaxed with his shirt unbuttoned in his suit look.
Now, talking of revealing clothes, did anyone else notice Olly's really, really tight trousers? I mean we're talking wonderpants underneath if such a thing exists! His first outfit was described by Dannii as a "Grandpa Suit", and we were much of the same opinion, although it was nice to see him in a colour other than grey or black. The second outfit looked like it had been recycled from multiple weeks before. We liked the wet look shirt and he obviously feels comfortable in this style, but in our opinion, the audience need something different to look at each week...
This week's loser Lloyd wore an interesting shirt with panel detailing. It was quite long though, so would have looked better tucked in at the front slightly. For his second performance we liked the modern twist on classic tails but the cane however was totally distracting and unnecessary. We totally loved the dancers' styling with white swimsuits and vests with the gorgeous red hats. Lloyd's look was a great choice for this smart on a 16year old.
Joe's pleather jacket was not a great look for us... it was just super stiff and frankly, a bit chav. So despite his vibrato voice he looked more Eastend than Westend in this performance. Like Lloyd, Joe's shirt in our opinion was just too long to be hanging out over his jeans... Find a belt and tuck yourself in young boy!! Again, similar to Lloyd's second look, Joe was wearing some kind of neck accessory, which we actually quite liked - it was much more subtle than Lloyd's as it was black on top of a midnight navy shirt.
As the only remaining girl in the competition we're always excited to see what the stylists have in store for Stacey - this week she was back to a one shoulder velvet mini dress by Diane Von Furstenberg, and mini indeed it was! In contrast, her second dress was full length and in a beautiful shade of coral although the shape left us wondering if she has a tummy tum tum to hide... Her sequin number for the group performance was super cute and very her. We think the stylists got it right there for her.
We cannot let the week go by without talking about Rihanna's super glam dress for her performance on the Sunday show... Alicia Keys red leather cat suit was super sexy and the girl showed off her booty to perfection in it - we'd love to get away with that!
And finally over to the judges... On both nights Dannii was, as always, elegantly kitted out in J'Aton Couture. On Saturday it was a cream full length gown with peplum detailing and a whopper stunning black patent belt which contrasted amazingly with the flowing fabric. On Sunday she went for a completely different style with a structured bright pink design. We also loved her hair on Sunday and though it was very similar to the styles created by Paul Stafford's team at Belfast FASHIONWEEK.
Cheryl had too much going on with Saturdays gold and black dress, however she gets a big thumbs up for the black suede shoe boots, which are the perfect footwear for fashionista's this winter party season. Ms Cole however looked much more chic on Sunday in a black asymmetric one sleeved number by Stephane Rolland.
