One minute it's sunny, the next it's chilly - what to wear when you get all four seasons in one day?
We're wedded to our cardigans these days, but they are, it has to be said, a tad boring - so we're going shopping for a lovely new leather, or leather-style 'pleather', jacket.
It's the new transition jacket that'll see us from spring into summer - edgier than a preppy blazer but not as cumbersome as a mac and much sassier than a cardi.
For the past few years we've been all about fitted denim jackets over summer clothes, but the new leather adds a twist to the look.
Forget images of a brooding, macho Marlon Brando in On The Waterfront, this new trend is gorgeously girly and fresh.
The new micro jacket comes in any colour other than black, and is so adaptable we'll be wearing it with everything from summery dresses to tees-and-jeans as well as knock-em-dead party frocks.
Nothing adds an edge to a floral day dress or a body-con disco dress better than a leather jacket.
All the high street stores, not to mention our local boutiques, have got biker-style, leather and pleather jackets in all manner of soft pastel colours for summer.
New Look comes tops with its pink luxe biker jacket at a mere £20 (pictured left), the sumptuous soft pink works fantastically well over ditzy-print summer dresses as well as tees and jeans.
Tesco has come up trumps with its F&F pink biker jacket at £30 while Evans has a softer, more fluid style of jacket in a dark grey.
We've also spotted an adorable blue version in Dorothy Perkins.
Pink, blue, purple, grey, whatever colour the new leather jackets come in, even good old, traditional black - we want!
