Denim is a style essential and this summer it's one of the most versatile fabrics in your wardrobe. Go for lighter fabrics in shirts, dresses and playsuits, stretch versions for jeans and keep the heavy-duty denim for cut-off shorts, faded denim waistcoats and classic denim jackets. We pick our fave looks and give you our expert styling tips for Rushmere's Most Wanted.

The white blazer is another summer essential and this soft drapey fabric in New Look's version is really light and adds instant glamour to a daytime look but is also perfect to throw on for balmy summer nights. The   is a great shape and looks super-cute on Brigh. It's perfect for summer holidays but we've styled it up for a daytime look so you can wear right now.

Everyone was in love with these fab wedges from New Look who just won an award for Best Shoes in the Lorraine High Street Fashion awards – and well deserved judging by these wonderful wedges. I also loved this look with Brigh's own converse trainers - very Alexa Chung! Accessorise with layered up enamel bangles and a cute cocktail ring to pick out the turquoise detail in the wedges and bring the whole look together. I love leopard print worn as a subtle accessory - and this cute headbad with scarf tie is gorgeous with Brigh's coveted curls.

OUTFIT FOR UNDER £100 CHALLENGE

70s-style flared jeans are the hot ticket for summer and these high-waisted jeans from Matalan are an incredible buy at just £16. They're a really flattering cut and while the stretch denim means they're comfy to wear - they look more dressed-up than skinny jeans.

Style tip: Always wear wedges or chunky heels with flares, and to avoid that 'no feet' look - you should just see about and inch or two of your shoes underneath so either take up the hem or hike up those heels.

High-waisted jeans doesn't mean cropped tops – a longer line top will balance out all that leg and is a great look for taller girls. You could also go for a blazer with this look but we gave Aoife a more rock-chick vibe with a biker-style jacket – an absolute steal at £20 from Matalan and it's lined with a soft grey jersey making it really lovely to wear.

The drama of the flares need something big to balance them out so I went for uber drama with bright hooped earrings with fabulous feathers which also look great with Aoife's soft curls.

A classic denim jacket worn over a maxi dress is a great way to cover up on chilly days but still show off that enviable figure.

A lot of maxi dresses have thin straps and are quite low cut so best avoided by more busty gals. But the Betty Jackson. Black range for Debenhams has come to the rescue with her fab maxi-dresses that have a wide shoulder strap so you can wear a bra and this fabulously cut jersey maxi even has a bit of support built in and is dressy enough for a summer garden party or bbq glammed up with a wedges and a clutch or dressed down with flats and a slouchy tote.

Style Tip: Avoid heels when wearing a maxi dress – gladiator flats are ideal but if you want a bit of extra height - go for a wedge.
