So all hail local designer Zoë Boomer - not only has she got us Sugahfix gals on board, she's got a fan in the ultimate style chameleon herself - Madonna.

The former Mrs Ritchie shortlisted Zoë's designs for use in her last film, Filth and Wisdom.

The young Belfast-born fashion designer impressed Madge, and the rest of the fashion world, with her minimalist creations in luxurious silks and chiffons.

Her handmade dresses, tunics and tops are designed for trendsetting urban fashionistas who like unpretentious glamour and want to feel beautiful in luxurious fabrics.

Zoë, who is being talked about as the next Stella McCartney, has also clothed singer Natasha Bedingfield and, most recently, caused a stir at Dublin Fashion Week with her Spring/Summer 09 collection.

The fashion-forward 25-year-old, who is now based in London, revealed a collection full of fluid lines and subtle tailoring, using only the best silks and silk-chiffons.

With a degree from the London College of Fashion under her chic belt, Zoë's lovingly crafted designs can now be found all over the world, from London to LA.

But she hasn't forgotten her Northern Irish roots, and has made a point of crediting the natural beauty of the Irish countryside as one of her major influences.

"I really love light, soft fabrics, floaty tops and dresses," says Zoë, "silks and chiffons - the ones you just want to go up and touch! I design garments that I love to wear.

"Clothes that combine simplicity, style and luxury and transform effortlessly from daytime urban chic to sassy evening glamour.

"My Spring/Summer collection has a refreshing Grecian twist. I've focused on shades of ash green and coupled them with inky blues and dashes of hot pink. This new collection also plays with neck lines that show-off the female body's beautiful forms."
