The Belfast FASHIONWEEK catwalk show from couture bridal and occasional-wear boutique, Blush, had a touch of the X Factor about it.

The boutique was showcasing some of its new looks from X Factor judge Dannii Minogue's Project D collection.

It was the first time the range has been shown on the catwalk in Ireland and the audience was thrilled to see the mix of flirty, pretty shapes and colours, from the Domino cream dress to the Natalaya black and gold frock.

We especially loved the Moneypenny black and cream dress, with its black butterfly crochet on cream silk in a fitted shape as well as the gorgeous Alura cream strapless dress with sequin butterfly detail and a pleated bustier, creating a very flattering, feminine shape.

Dannii's label is a red carpet favourite and the Fashionweek fashionistas felt the same way as its many A-list fans.

"The collection really catches everyone's attention," Blush manager Caoimhe Curran told us after the show. "It's a young, fresh collection given a high profile boost by the fact that Dannii and her celebrity friends are often seen stepping out in the dresses."

The bridalwear on the catwalk was soft and romantic, tapping into the fairy tale excitement most of the country is experiencing over the Royal Wedding.

One fun twist on tradition came in Jenny Packham strapless Cameo dress, with its above the knee length and flirty, feathery skirt.

Other garden party and events dresses came in the form of designs by Tony Bowles, including his butterfly print evening dress and floral print cocktail dress.

An eye-catching two-tone purple ankle-length evening gown by Jovanni also had everyone sitting up and taking notice.
