Spring into Summer 09 UU Students |

Students from the University of Ulster designed an outfit to the brief - ‘Light by Nature' which was showcased at the Wednesday night show at Magners Light Spring into Summer and competed for an award for design excellence.
The top prize included £500 from Magners Light and a specially commissioned trophy from Murray and Co Jewellers.
Second year design student Orla Marley from Belfast won this award. Orla was presented on stage with her prize by Miss Great Britain Gemma Garrett and Gavan Morris, Marketing Manager for Magners Light, who judged the awards alongside ‘Ant' from Sky Wedding TV's ‘Ant and Dick', Stephanie Lowry of Emporio and fashion designer and trends forecaster MaryRose McGrath.
Orla was unanimous winner in the student design award. Judges noted that her "creativity, tailoring and whole look was head and shoulders above the other students".
