If cow's milk ice-cream leaves you feeling gruff why not try Mullin's Bally Bleat vanilla goats milk ice cream which just this week scooped a top award at the UK Great Taste Awards in London.
Mullin's Ice Cream of Kilrea, Co Londonderry wowed judges at the Fortnum & Mason event, with the Bally Bleat vanilla taking the title of Best Speciality Product Northern Ireland.
Mullin's is the only large scale commercial producer of goat's milk ice cream on the island of Ireland and the company's aim now is to obtain a listing for this top class product with a major retailer in GB.
Sales Manager Peter Lynn said: "We are absolutely delighted at our success, not least because we hope that Bally Bleat will allow children all round Northern Ireland who are sensitive to cow's milk to enjoy ice cream for the first time."
Important Information: Anyone with a cow's milk allergy should consult their doctor before trying any other animal milk product.
