I tend to associate the Joop! brand with my teenage youth. Many a free period was spent in the school toilets applying Joop! for men and topping up my makeup with a cheap terracotta Panstick (embarrassing as that sounds I know I’m not alone!)
This fragrance is the female version to Joop! Homme Wild. The rum accord in the base is a wink to the masculine scent. I felt nostalgic when I sprayed this as a strange familiarity filled the room.
Miss Wild is described as an “addictive floral oriental scent”. Spicy-flirtatious top notes of pink pepper are softened by the subtle aroma of vanilla, creating a warmth and softness of the perfume. The contrasting notes are supposed to illustrate Miss Wild’s dual nature: a good girl defiantly walking on the wild side.
Maybe there is truth to this….the day I wore this I felt the urge to go on a 35 minute lunch break AND purchase a Meal Deal without paying for my bag for life. Miss Wild indeed!
One criticism of the perfume is that it doesn’t have great lasting power. The initial spicy boldness gives way to very subtle (barely there) scent throughout the day. I would suggest carrying this in your bag for an afternoon top up.
The bottle is the same shape as the men’s version and is purple in colour. It sports a distinctive leather bow complete with two McQueen-style metal skulls. Stylish and quirky but perhaps targeted to a slightly younger audience.
