coco350.jpgLooking for a night out that blends seamlessly from great food, great fun and great music without the taxi ride, queueing at a club and ruining the vibe you had back at the restaurant?  Then book a Friday or Saturday night table at CoCo (the old Roscoff Brasserie location) and enjoy a fab night out as well as ‘taste sensation' food.

Chef Jason More described the menu as "food that'll give you a cuddle" and what a perfect description indeed - we'd cuddle it right back!

The official opening party was last night but the Sugahfix gals were in on Tuesday night sampling the delights of the menu - don't miss the gremolata crumbed asparagus (we have no idea what gremolata is but it tasted amazing!) and the scallops with parma ham - to die for! Ask for extra custard with the steamed lemon pudding to make it even more decadent. When we arrived the ipod mix was playing a Jay Kay special of 'Thank you (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin" by Sly & The Family Stone and Janet Jackson's Rythmn Nation (very cool!) and we instantly felt relaxed and ready to get funky!

Jason started out as a sous chef to the late Robbie Millar at the Michelin starred Shanks restaurant followed by a period under Michel Roux at the 3* Michelin restaurant Le Gavroche. His most recent project before opening CoCo was opening the hugely successful No 27 in Talbot Street in Belfast that won the accolade of Restaurant of the Year at the recent Fate Awards.

Many of the staff at the restaurant stayed on after More took over from Paul Rankin, keeping their jobs. Jason said: "It's really vital to me to offer the very best in food excellence as well as outstanding service. But CoCo is as much about atmosphere and I'm excited about the prospect of encouraging our customers to let their hair down with some after dinner drinks and cool music after their meal. Many of them want music and atmosphere but not the loud ambiance of a full-on nightclub, so I think the thirty and forty-something's of the city will love it!"

CoCo is all about atmosphere and enjoying great food with friends then staying on to party in the bar or if you book a late table then you can stay where you are! Funky tunes are de rigor and late night dancing and cocktails will follow. Any restaurant with a disco ball works for us!
