Who doesn’t love a massage? And who doesn’t love a luxurious facial?? Then who wouldn’t love a full body massage followed by a facial? I booked myself into Natural Roots Wellness in Stanmillis for just that on a Friday evening after work and I was not disappointed.
Natural Roots Wellness is a massage & wellness centre in Belfast owned by the lovely Tina Moore, and offers a wide range of therapies to help improve your health and wellbeing. Tina specialises in Aromatherapy but also offers various other massage and beauty therapies. One of the main reasons for my visit was because ethical health and beauty is important at Natural Roots so Neal’s Yard Remedies products are used. This company was the first health & beauty brand to be awarded an ethical score of 100/100 when it was first audited by the Ethical Company Organisation in 2014. Items are fairly sourced and do not use chemicals that could harm you or the environment.
During my consultation with Tina we discussed what I expected from my treatment – a massage to loosen my sticky shoulder and a facial to freshen and rehydrate my skin.
The Room Diffuser was filled with Neal’s Yard Women’s Balance Blend (Patchouli, uplifting geranium, nurturing rose and rejuvenating frankincense) to assist with relaxation.
Step 1- Grounding Ceremony- Frankincense and Myrrh Steam Inhalation
Step 2- Massage using Neal’s Yard Remedies Bergamot, Frankincense & Patchouli (Relaxation blend) combined with Grapeseed oil as a carrier oil.
Step 3- Holistic Facial (All Neal’s Yard products)
2- 1st Cleanse Frankincense Refining Cleanser
3- 2nd Cleanse Wild Rose Beauty Balm
I cannot describe how fantastic my skin felt after the treatment, the the natural aromas of the products just felt wholesome and natural.
As I mentioned, Tina specialises in Aromatherapy, so she kindly sent home with a blend to finish off my dreamy evening with a beautiful aromatic bubble bath – my homecare product was made up of – 25ml Grapeseed Oil, 5ml Avocado Oil, Bergamot, Frankincense & Patchouli. You can apply this directly on to the skin or add to the bath.
Check out the website as there is a lot of info in the treatments section about what Tina does.
