Their Titanic Lockdown performance will mark the first time the boys have appeared in Belfast for over 26 years, and alongside them at the event will be BRIT Award nominee Anna Calvi. Other acts already confirmed for this unique mini-festival include Happy Mondays, Ghostpoet, Factory Floor, Glasgow based Errors and the legendary reggae producer Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry.
Titanic Lockdown will take place at T13 Shared Cultural Space at Harland and Wolff and on 31st March, tickets to the festival will go on-sale at a special launch event at T13. The launch will feature a free day-long programme of activity including DJ sets, continental food markets, live street art, urban sports demos, fashion workshops and firebreathers. Local bands will also be performing throughout the day including Pocket Billiards, The Bonnevilles, Katie and the Carnival and VerseChorusVerse. From 7pm on the launch day, a concert featuring Roots Manuva, Gilles Peterson and MC Earl Zinger will entertain crowds.
The daytime programme of activity at Titanic on March, 31st between 12pm and 6.30pm is free to everyone, and Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult. The evening concert is for over 18’s and will run from 7pm to late with tickets priced at £23 (+ Booking Fee). Tickets are available from www.titanic-lockdown.com and all Ticketmaster outlets.
