Rosie Huntington-Whitley. She of the full lips, full brows, high cheekbones and the longest lashes. Not forgetting that envious bod. There’s something ‘effortless’ about RHW that makes her even more gorgeous.
The face, and body, of her Rosie for Autograph lingerie range the British Supermodel has worked with M&S to develop a gorgeous make-up collection that reflects Rosie’s own personal make up style. There’s even a nod to her underwear range with names like ‘Silk Cami’, ‘Rose Lace’ and ‘Camisole Blush’.
The rose gold packaging is very on trend and looks divine on your dressing table although they should come with a little polishing cloth as I’m constantly buffing the eyeshadow quads to make them gleam and look super pretty.
The lipsticks (£14) are enriched with Argan Oil making then super moisturizing and they have great colour and lasting power for such a creamy base. The case has a little magnetic feature, which snaps shut as you pop the lid on so no fear of the lid slipping off in your makeup bag! Silk Cami has become my go to lippy – for day and night! I use it with MAC Spice lipliner for a little added definition.
Fans of a bronze smokey eye look will love the ‘I feel like a million dollars’ quad (£18), as it is simply dreamy! Most of Rosie’s eye quads have a mix of matte and pearl shadows but this one dazzles in its light reflective glory with four lush shimmering shades. I’ve been using one this a lot – on myself, on my friend Dawn for her 40th Birthday party and on Style Academy model Lydia for the Merchant Fashion Teas photoshoot and it just works on everyone. You can do a light, sunny, bronzy eye or really go for it and smoke it out with that deep shimmery charcoal shade. The lighter tones can be used as a highlighter. Totally in love.
Cream-based blushes and eye colours are becoming ever more popular – taking over from popular powder-based products. Cream blushers are buildable, blendable and just gorgeous! Rosie’s cream blushes come in 4 shades – two pinks and two peaches priced at £14 each. In that fabulous rose gold packaging they are a beautiful addiction to any make up collection but a word of warming – they are VERY pigmented so always start off light and build up. Best applied with a stipple brush in light circular motions. If you’ve applied to much simply blend with a damp make up sponge like a Beauty Blender for lighter finish and a diffused edge.
If you love the idea of a strong winged out liner but find using a gel liner with a brush a bit tricky you’ll adore Rosie’s gel liner pencils (£12.50). So easy to apply and they do not budge. As they’re in a pencil format they’re tricky to get a super fine tip to your ‘wing’ but you can use your eyeliner brush to pick up some product from the tip of the pencil and get that perfect point. Or you could switch to Rosie’s ‘Liquid Liner’ eyeliner pen (£14), which has a pin-sharp tip for precision application. Rosie has four colours – Rock Princess which is a solid black, Star Empire which has a little silver glitter in it, Envy Me which is a gorgeous aubergine purple – amazing for enhancing blue eyes – and I’m a fox star which is a warm dark brown. Soft and easy to apply, there’s no drag on the eyes.
Rosie for Autograph make-up range is available online and in the beauty halls of larger Marks & Spencer stores including Donegal Place, Belfast.
