The Chelsea Wine Bar on Belfast's Lisburn Road recently bought together some of the city's best boutiques and independent designers for a charity fashion show in aid of the Ulster Cancer Foundation.
Local models, gave up their time voluntarily for the show, strutted their stuff in lingerie from Roxbury and McQueen and elegant dresses, many labels exclusive to Northern Ireland, from Holly Carey's hot new boutique Madison Rose.
Twice winner of Northern Ireland's hairdresser of the year Andrew Mulvenna and his creative team, fresh from Graduate and London Fashion Weeks, crimped and styled the tresses of the models and were on hand backstage throughout the show for last minute alterations.
Three of the models, got some practice ahead of the Face of Ireland final in creations from Harrison Boutique, jackets from ethical fashion label, Curious Tales, which creates quirky designer clothing from recycled & organic materials, Bridgene Graham and Cathy Villiers complete with an array of headwear from Grainné Maher Millinery.
Guests were treated to a spectacular array of fashion as they sipped champagne and Appletiser, ate savory nibbles from the Chelsea kitchen followed by mini-cupcakes from the local cupcakerie, Crumbz Cakes and at the end of the evening each guest picked up one of the fabulous Clairns gift bags.
