Hellzapoppin's second outing in Belfast's Pavilion bar, on Friday 28 May, was wall to wall with fabulous style. It takes effort to work that vintage Vargas girl look and we reckon it's well worth it.
Hellzapoppin', named after a super-cool and quite bonkers 1940s film, is an assorted mix of 1940s swing, '50s rock 'n' roll, 60s girl groups, Motown, '80s alt and pop with a different theme for each event. The theme for May was ‘Prom' with gals and guys wearing their favourite vintage prom dress and the guys wearing their most dapper dandy looks.
The style was all fabulous hair, red lips and sex appeal. Polka dots were a popular look and full skirts with net underskirts added instant prom appeal.
Sugahgal Andrea McVeigh aka DJ Topsy (yes our fabulous Trends Ed is also a supercool DJ!) and Sugahpal Lucy Morgan aka Pixie were looking fabulous in their full skirted dresses - those gals love a little extra volume for extra girlie sassiness.
The next Hellzapoppin' will be held on Friday 25th June with a nautical theme. Climb onboard the Good Ship Hellzapoppin' all dolled up like a sailor, hula honey, Hellzapopeye, beach bum...nautical but nice-ical ;)
