The Thimble project , a skills & business course ran by Belfast City Council for individuals wanting to launch a fashion business, held a showcase at Victoria Square's design space on Thursday 4th February.
Participants on the programme included Katie Wilson, Bridgene Graham, The Handbag Fairy, Judith Cassidy, Grainne Maher and Alyson McElroy Jones.
The design space at Victoria Square, part of an old warehouse building, offered an edgy New York loft feel to the showcase and there was a really cool vibe to the event with a DJ spinning funky tunes.
There was some fabulous individual style and really quirky looks which just fills us Sugahfix gals with joy: you gals sure know your style.
Trends noted on the night were opaque tights - a wise move on a cold, blustery night - and pops of glossy red to brighten up black and white. Worn on lips, nails, a clutch, shoes or steal Sugahgal Patricia Devlin's style and wear a red flower in you hair to co-ordinate perfectly with those red heels - fabulous! and oh so Carrie Bradshaw!
Metallic fabric and subtle sequins added a lux look and glamour bonus points. Delicate lace detail is always pretty. Shrunken leather jackets worn over pretty dresses celebrate the ditching of the winter coat - yay!
