A brand new race day has thundered its way to the top of the Northern Ireland style calendar with the introduction of the Victoria Square Race Day at the Down Royal race track where ladies and gents alike were dressed to impress.
Milliner Grainne Maher literally turned heads with her own stunning creation and had fashionistas queuing up to get her business card. And it seemed that all the best dressed heads were kitted out the Grainne's creations.
Style Queen Cathy Martin wore a shimmering sequined covered GMM creation that gave that uber chic finish to a super stylish look. IN! Magazine style sisters Lisa and Hayley Harrison also chose Grainne's headpieces to accessorise their outfits while Brenda Shankey looked chic and sexy in a black leather dress and GMM polka dot piece. PR guru Sharon Curran stepped bck in style with a reworked vintage cocktail hat - part of Grainne's ‘Pluck & Devour' design label and in a vintage dress and classic vintage hairstyle by Vintage Rocks completed the look to perfection. Sugahfix's own Glenda Moore was sporting one of Grainne's cocktail hats and even got a nod for the Best Dressed competition - well done G!
And while the hats were certainly the statement moments of the day - it was all about the dress with body-con shapes hugging those curves and pretty gored skirt shapes with net underskirts and cinched in waists for figure-flattering style.
The Sugahfix gals love the daytime sequin trend and one stylista looked stunning in simple well cut white jeans and vest top with a shimmering silver sequined statement jacket and glittering clutch.
While the race-goers were watching the track, judges had their eyes peeled for the stylish as part of the Victoria Square Best Dressed Lady and House of Fraser Best Dressed Male competitions which went to glamorous Joyce Martin, from Comber who wore a fabulous Helen McAlinden suit from House of Fraser in this season's hottest berry shades.
Not to be outdone by the ladies, a dapper Keith Kane walked away with the title of best dressed gentleman - Northern Ireland Hairdresser of the Year AND Best dressed gentleman in one year? Fabulous! And they say these things come in threes - wonder what the next one will be? Mwah!
