Describe your style? I think my style is quite understated; I go for statement pieces and focus on one item, usually, then build the outfit around that. I love to play around with different looks, from ultra preppy to a dishevelled chic.
Who is your style icon? My style icon would have to be Alice Dellal, although my style isn’t really that similar to hers I just love everything she wears, she always looks unique. She uses sheer fabrics to look sexy instead of showing loads of flesh.
Favourite item you’re wearing in the photo?
Favourite item I’m wearing in the photo has got to be my navy cotton knitted top, it has a crocheted diamond on the front (although my hair usually covers it!) And backless – in the shape of a diamond. My Mother made it, inspired by a Tommy Hilfiger Blue cotton jumper at £120 which I saw in Vogue. Mine, like the Hilfiger garment has low cut arms and a slouchy feel, as well as an incredibly soft textured wool.
Favourite item in wardrobe?
I am not completely obsessed with summer knits, I swear! But my favourite item in my wardrobe has got to be my powder blue Ralph Lauren Sport cardigan. It has a fine cable pattern and is a crisp cotton, I pull it on over everything. It can dress down any outfit and has the casual yet elegant appeal that I look for in most clothes.
Lucie’s style has that effortless look to it that is really only achieved when you put a lot of thought into the individual pieces. Top marks to Lucie’s talented Mummy for making her top – and her skirt! We love Lucie’s oversized faux fur bag – it adds an instant layer of yummy to a light summer look. We also lover her super-cute tassle-topped loafers and it’s hard to beat a pair of wayfarer sunglasses to finish the look. Fabulous!
