The inaugural Lisburn Road Day at the Races hit the NI style and social calendar with a bang at Down Royal on June 17th. The Lisburn Road suite was transformed in boutique style glamour, draped thoughout in black and white, with exquisite pieces from Beaufort Interiors, the Antique Gallery, Bang & Olufsen and Simply Devine and the event supported charity partners Mencap and TinyLife.
The style on the day was all about the dress. The style classic - Little Black Dress was spotted in various froms from simple classic shapes to embellished detailing and modern takes on the classic. We loved Holly Harrison from Harrison Boutique's funky LBD - that structured peplum frill would give Gaga a run for her money! Pretty feminie dresses were toughened up with relaxed tailoring in the form of the essential summer blazer.
Hugo Thomas and Max Mara sponsored the Lisburn Road Best Dressed Couple prize which was deservingly won Mr & Mrs. Neal and Zara McCone (pictured left). We loved Zara's chic satin cap-sleeved dress – a great choice for an all day event. The classic tailored shape made it perfect for daytime with the satin fabric and acessories of an embellish cuff and necklace added just the right level of glamour to take her through to the evening. And just incase you're wondering - the tag on Neal's suit isn't the price tag! but the ticket to get in and out of the suite!
We must also note Lisburn Road Business Association's marketing gal Elsie McLaughlin, who was flat out all day and who looked absolutely beautiful – they say women bloom when they are pregnant and Elsie certain was in full blossom! Stunning!
The after party got continued back at Lily's on the Lisburn Road.
