The style worn at the opening night of Belsonic for 30 Seconds to Mars will give tons of ideas for anyone wondering what to wear to other Belsonic gigs and other festivals this month.
The sunny day and dry evening had the denim shorts out in force – if you've got 'em flaunt 'em gals! There's about another month of being able to get away with bare legs under shorts and then tights will be essential - opaque black, coloured or patterned - tights will extend the life of your favourite cut-offs well into winter.
One of our fave looks was a rust floral maxi skirt worn with a denim jacket – floaty and festival fabulous but also totally practical! We spotted one gal wearing a quilted Barbour style jacket – we think this is going to be a hot trend for Autumn – inspired by Danielle D'arcy's winning look at Belfast Taste & Music Fest – but this fashionista (pictured left) wore the jacket with her own flair – collar up, funky shades and messy up-do – she rocks!
Footwear simply must be flat for a concert – and with no wellies required at Custom House Square - ballet flats, boyish brogues, flat boots or wedges were the footwear of choice. Close toe shoes are ideal for a festival – to protect those tootsies if rowdy boys are jumping around in your vicinity!
Denim jackets and leather biker jackets and were also popular – ideal to keep the chill off later in the evening and a style classic for any self-respecting rock chick.
We spotted lots of fab patterned tights – we just love this trend – it instantly adds a quirky vibe. We loved one gals look of black leopard-print tights, shorts and rock t-shirt - with a glam sequinned jacket - fabulous!
