Chic style was a sure bet at Victoria Square's Ladies Race Day on Friday 9th September.
Bold block shapes in solid colours including mustard; blue and red turned heads and caught the eye of the best-dressed judges.
Mustard was a winning colourway with the Best Dressed prize going to Lorraine Holloway-McCarney who even customized her umbrella with mustard ribbon – fabulous! We spotted dresses, blouses and waistcoats in this must-have autumnal tone.
Michelle Wylie picked up the runner-up prize wearing a colour-pop red dress and flower headpiece with nude heels - stunning!
Anita & Donna Ross (Tryone Rose 2011) of The Boudoir boutique in Dungannon were spotted in soft neutrals of taupe and cream with textured finishes in lace, brocade and trimmed with fabulous faux fur.
Saucer style hats – worn at an angle across the forehead are as flattering as they are stylish and they were a hot trend at Down Royal. The Sugahfix gals wore our fave headwear – subtly stylish cocktail hats by Grainne Maher Millinery.
There was interesting mix of style with two distinct looks; the classic, formal, best-dressed contender and a contemporary take on the look with a more relaxed attitude but with all the va-va-voom! We loved Sarah-Jayne Cassells and Nuala Menahan's 70s style nod with wide-brimmed floppy hats and Linzi Corr's stunning pleated dress - with floral print design (pictured left) - gorgeous! Gemma Garrett looked huggably gorgeous in a little white dress, cosy faux fur stole and covetable Chanel handbag - we want! Adding a furry trim (only faux - of course!) to take the chill off on an autumn day is a great style tip to steal - if you hate having to layer up with a coat so early in the season.
We have to mention that we met Jedi Jim Eastwood, star of The Apprentice, and he was as handsome and charming in real life as he was in the series ♥ !
