On Sunday 6th November, for one night - Belfast was the centre of the music world for the star studded MTV EMA 2011 at Belfast’s Odyssey Arena.
And where there are stars there is style!
Jessie J was one of the first to arrive at the Odyssey wearing a strapless yellow leopard print dress by Dolce & Gabbana. Jessie hit the perfect style note by accessorising with a single cocktail ring and earrings.
A necklace would have been much too fussy with so much going on with the dress and with her unusually big hair!
Her hairdressers must have had to do a quick wash and blow-dry to preen her back into her trademark high-gloss bob and heavy fringe for her performance look.
MTV EMA host Selena Gomez looked super-cute in an ethereal Marchesa embroidered organza long sleeve top from their Fall 2011 collection.

Katy Perry looked like a 50’s ice cream parlour rockabilly in a mini-dress covered with retro sunglasses print, and pale pink biker style jacket with silver studs by designer and super-stylist Jeremy Scott. Her pink hair, with victory roll style fringe, co-ordinated beautifully with the yards of pink carpet.
Jade Thompson – winner of Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model supported the High Street by wearing a stunning silver sequin dress from French Connection but she added a little designer touch with her black YSL heels.
Jersey Shore starlets Snooki and Jwoww looked surprisingly chic in black dresses with silver embellishment. Snooki (pictured below) rocked the pink carpet in Gasoline Glamour - we need those shoes in our lives!
Supermodels Bar Refaeli (pictured above) and Irina Shayk (pictured below), wore specially crafted bespoke Replay outfits. Bar Refaeli wore a midnight blue gown in Sapphire finish denim and a double silk overskirt – split at the front to show of her shapely pins.
While Irina Shayk (pictured below) wore a Replay one-off denim dress.
Katy B was the only pink carpet fashion fail in a v neck velour top and slouchy trousers – this looks like something you’d wear on the plane to be comfy – not to walk the red carpet at a major music awards show! Style note - anyone with a pointy chin should never wear a deep v-neck like Katy as it mirrors the shape of her chin - not flattering! The glossy red shoes and clutch bag were cute but the turquoise nails were a bit of a mismatch.
