If you noticed the stunning backdrop to some of the images in our new fashion photoshoot 'Star Performer' and wondered where the location was - it's the stunning Pedestal exhibition at Craft NI's gallery at Cotton Court - just opposite the Merchant Hotel.

Pedestal transformed the gallery at Craft NI into a living space with contemporary craft and classic antiques. Curated by Gail Mahon, Pedestal brings together the best of cutting-edge and emerging craft talent from the making it programme. Work includes throws & cushions by Judith Cassidy, lighting by Rachel O'Neill, contemporary jewellery by Suzanne Harbinson, ceramics by Adam Frew and John McKeag, glass by Pia Raeymaekers, silver insects by Lotus de Wit, and a series of walnut boxes by Ronan Lowery (Design Onion). Working in partnership with Whatnot Antiques in L/Derry, Gail has selected a classic piece of antique furniture as the ‘pedestal' for their work. All works are for sale and the show provides an opportunity to purchase unique, local and handcrafted gift ideas and classic antiques. Craft NI's gallery is located in the Cotton Court building directly opposite the Merchant hotel. Opening Times: 10am-4pm, Monday-Friday. For more information contact Craft NI <mailto:
