Belfast Pride on Saturday 30th July was the biggest celebration in it's 21 year history with over 40 float entries for the Parade, an estimated 7,000 people marching and 10,000 spectators lining the streets and enjoying the festivities at Custom House Square.
The usual Christian protesters took up their position at the front of the City Hall but nothing could dampen the spirits of the vibrant parade marching towards them in a surge of pure positive energy. Many marchers waved playfully to the protesters as they passed by.
The Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor Niall Ó Donnghaile also joined the parade marching around City Hall. The parade finished off back at Custom House Square with lots of musical acts including former Steps singer, Lisa Scott Lee.
The Belfast Pride parade is always a joyful and colourful spectacle, and this year, for the first time there was a family at Custom House Square area with a bouncy castle and face painters.
