Here at Sugahfix HQ we heart digital media - from viral youtube videos to beautifully designed banner ads and all the fun of social media, so we're really excited about a brand new awards created to celebrate the fantastic digital talent in Northern Ireland.
The DANI Awards- organised by Digital Advertising Northern Ireland (DANI), have been created to recognise companies and individuals in the digital media sector in Northern Ireland- and the original and amazing ways they have been able to utilise the wonderful world of online!
Our very own Sugahfix Editor Katrina Doran is on the judging panel for the inaugural DANI Awards as she thinks it is vital to support other local online companies. This means we can't win a DANI Award (boo!) but as a previous award winner, Katrina feels that celebrating the achievements of others is just as important:
"Sugahfix.com recently won Best Blog at the NISMA's and it was a massive boost for our small, but dedicated team. For the DANI Awards I'll be going through the entries with a fine tooth comb looking out for creative ideas, insightful strategies and fabulousness executed campaigns."
The awards categories include- Best B2B Campaign, Best B2C Campaign, Best Viral Campaign, Best Visual Web Design, Best Mobile App, Best use of Social Media (Corporate), Best use of Social Media (SME) and Best Online Strategy. There will also be a special award for an individual who has contributed to and advanced the growth of digital media.
Entries can be submitted online and winners will be announced at a fabulous black tie gala ball compered by comedienne Nuala McKeever on November 11th at Belfast's Hilton Hotel.
To enter the DANI Awards log on to www.thedaniawards.co.uk for entry criteria and further details. Closing date for entries is Friday 14th October 2011 at 6pm.
