Big cheers all round for our very own blogger Paul Meekin of Partners Hair and Beauty who won the prestigious Hairdresser of the Year Award, and for Teresa and Anita Ross of The Boudoir who deservedly took home the Fashion Boutique Proprietor of the Year Award.

Teresa decided to give the Awards a miss this year and let her young ones have some fun but Anita and her sister Donna, the current Tyrone Rose, did their mother proud- both looking stunning in gowns from The Boudoir.

Gemma Murphy of Jack Murphy Jewellers had the enviable task of presenting Darren Clarke with his Sportsperson of the Year Award- she looked gorgeous standing onstage with the talented golfer- although we’re a bit jealous because we wanted to get our photo taken with him!

Sugahfix editor Katrina Doran was at the Awards as a guest of Jack Murphy Jewellers and their table proudly instigated a standing ovation for the 2011 Open Championship winner which swept the room in seconds!

Jim Eastwood of Apprentice fame won Celebrity of the Year.  He has always been a firm favourite of the Sugahfix gals and after he was so lovely to us at the Victoria Square Ladies Day at the Races- we were rooting for him to win this award!

At the end of the night Gloria Hunniford accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award to thunderous applause- we definitely think she deserves honorary Sugahgal status for being such a fabulously inspirational lady.
