The Sugahfix gals were loving the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project last week in Dublin- from Full Moon Party-esque Drinks Buckets and spring rolls to Chinese lanterns, neon face painting and ravers on stilts, the Thai-themed extravaganza was a night to remember and has left us craving a trip to the beautiful party islands Thailand boasts!
This one-of-a-kind worldwide event saw 50 countries celebrate the best of global nightlife, swapping unique nightlife from their country with another.
Swapping our Irish nightlife with Thailand, we danced the night away at the city's CHQ to a mix of dance, electro and hip hop beats from Australian dance four-piece the Potbelleez, Fourplay DJs and DJ Gordo, while sipping on thai themed Smirnoff cocktails including the Bangkok Collins, Lemongrass Mule and Kaffir Lime Pie. Not quite in theme, my favourite was definitely the Big Apple!
The venue was incredible and the glass walls, underground bricked vaults and triple height ceilings really added to the unique party atmosphere created by the host of theatrical performers including Thai acrobats, fire dancers and an amazing glowbot!
We're already excited about next year's exchange- let's hope the food is a good as the yummy Thai appetizers we enjoyed this year!
