American Holidays are now offering new 2012 State-side packages direct from Ireland and to celebrate, they held an Empire States fancy dress party in Belfast.
The host Lynda Bryans was looking fabulous- appropriately dressed as Marilyn Monroe just in time for the release of the new film 'My Week with Marilyn', while other guests including Sky TV's wedding experts, Ant and Dick dressed up other US stars like Michael Jackson and Frank Sinatra.
Invites stipulated that all guests come dressed as their American icon, with two return flights to New York courtesy of United Airlines and American Holidays billed as the prize for best dressed.
A panel of judges including Lynda Bryans and the newly crowned Clubworld Travel Miss Ulster, Courtenay Fitzpatrick, chose 'Barbie in a Box' Michael Callaghan as the clear winner.
Guests at the Empire danced the night away to the King of Rock and Roll's top hits by Irish Elvis impersonator, Ciaran Houlihan with his TCB Band and The Sweet Sensations.
American Holiday's new 2012 brochure is filled with fantastic State-side packages to some of the top American destinations including New York, Las Vegas, Florida, Orlando and San Francisco.
The all-star American theme extended to the food as guests enjoyed mini hamburgers and cupcakes, washed down by a Carnaby Brown wine reception.
