After months of speculation, the organisers of the Fate Awards '09 in association with Carling have today confirmed The Saturday's will be the closing act to this years' awards ceremony, set to take place at Belfast's prestigious Waterfront Hall on 3rd April 2009.

Fresh from the launch of their Comic Relief single, ‘I Just Can't Get Enough', The Saturday's, one of the UK's hottest bands will jet into Belfast to bring down the curtain at the annual red carpet event performing a selection of tracks from their debut album.

Band member, Una Healy, is no stranger to Belfast or indeed to Fate Magazine. Although born in Thurles, she lived just outside Belfast for a number of years before finding success with The Saturdays. Most recently she pipped Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Cheryl Cole and Christina Aguilera to be crowned Hottest Female at the 2008 Virgin Media Music Awards.

Fate Awards '09 organiser Michael Bell said, "The Saturday's are, without a doubt, the best new act to emerge in the past year and personally, they're one of my favourites. They're sassy, sexy and super talented - the perfect way to end what will undoubtedly be a brilliant night!"
