It was a case of Sexy! No, No, No when Girls Aloud took to the stage at the Odyssey Arena last night for their soundcheck ahead of their show. For the girls were kitted out in matching blue bathrobes and bedroom slippers, complete with curlers in their hair.
The chart-topping Brit winners are back in Belfast this week as part of their Out Of Control tour, which has been described as their raunchiest yet.
But there were no signs of their sexy costumes when the five girls - Sarah Harding, Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts and Londonderry's own Nadine Coyle - arrived at the Odyssey Arena around 5pm for a sound check.
According to a source, the girls still managed to look gorgeous, despite their best attempts to dress like Hilda Ogden.
After their sound check they retired to a backstage room to relax before the show.
It is understood treadmills, various exercise machines and scented candles were among requests on the band's ‘rider'.
A sports therapist and masseuse also accompanied the girls, as well as a hairdresser and make-up artist for each individual member. The insider said: "There's one big room for all the girls to chill out in but there are also separate rooms if they want to go off and do their own thing."
In a recent interview with the Belfast Telegraph Nadine Coyle revealed that she was so nervous playing the Odyssey on their last tour that she sat alone in a room filled with scented candles beforehand in a bid to banish her pre-show nerves.
Girls Aloud play The Odyssey Arena for three nights this week.
