With loads of space in a quad room our gals can spread out – pop their iPod in the high-tech-high-spec docking system and dance around the room to Kylie while getting ready. There may be a queue to have a soak in the tub as there’s a TV in the bath! It’s the perfect way to take the chill off those tired feet after all that shopping!
So let’s talk shopping….Enniskillen has the fab Erneside Shopping Centre with all your fave high street shops – New Look (one of the biggest New Look’s we’ve seen outside of London!), River Island, M&S, Accessories and Monsoon plus lots of local NI stores like DV8 and Exhibit.
Style Tip! Check out the gorgeous Monsoon fusion range (pictured above) which is only available in two stores in Northern Ireland – the Erneside store and Victoria Square in Belfast.
There is huge Dunnes (we love a bit of Dun-nez Couture) just around the corner and Tesco is just a skip across the road from The Belmore Court and nearby is one of the biggest Asda’s in the province.
Michelle the receptionist – easily the most lovely and most helpful person we’ve ever met ! Tipped us off on the key places to get something a little bit special – she’s the girl in the know!
If you’re looking for a knockout dress for the party season or a red carpet event – head for Coco on East Bridge St (former Miss Northern Ireland Judith Wilson got her dress for this years Miss Northern Ireland final here) and stop off for a yummy milkshake and home-baked cookies in Kooki just across the street.
You’ll find gorgeous gifts in Crabtree Cottage – just opposite the walkway over to Erneside shopping centre on the Shore Road.
Don’t miss out on the Buttermarket at Boston Quay. With 16 studios, galleries, shops and a coffee shop of the Buttermarket Courtyard is one of Ireland’s premier craft centres.
For dinner – Franco’s on Queen Elizabeth Road is an Enniskillen foodie legend and although it looks like a humble pizzeria (which are really good too!) the food is five star quality! We would highly recommend the scallops starter, the rib eye steak and as we base the standard of a restaurant on it’s chips – Franco’s chips are fantastic! Deserts are delicious too and are served with locally made Tickety Moo ice cream – heaven!
If you want a bit of romance you could go with your other half and take a long brisk walk around Florence Court – just a short drive away – and pretend you’re Elizabeth Bennett and Mr Darcy strolling around the stunning grounds. Castle Coole (pictured left) and Crom Estate are also just short drives away so get out into the fresh air and prepared to be wowed by these stunning National Trust estates. www.nationaltrust.org
There are lots to do around the lakes if you like water sports and for a bit of culture the Ardhowen Theatre offers a year-round programme of drama, music and dance. www.ardowentheatre.com
Back in the room and a great night sleep is followed by a continental breakfast spread with everything from fresh fruit, a wide range of cereals, cereal bars, fresh croissants and bread for toasting plus yogurts, fruit juices, tea and coffee and even organic and gluten free options – we were mightily impressed! What more could a gal need?! Wel…more shopping!
*Shop and Flop packages start at £55 per person (based on four sharing a quad room) for 2 nights B&B and one evening meal in a selection of restaurants.

If that didn’t convince you – check out 8-year-old Lewis McCartney‘s genius tour of the Belmore Court & Motel on You Tube. He’s the absolute spit of his daddy and Lewis is clearly set to be a legend in the hospitality industry. A few bits are scripted but being a typical 8 year old he throws in his own personal opinions too – just for good meassure. He’s so cute! Click here to view www.youtube.com/
