(and from our own wee Belfast) brings us his expert top tips page for brides and grooms to be over the next few weeks. This week he gives his top tips for brides on a budget.

"By simply stopping and thinking before you make your purchases you can save a lot of money and even be kind to the environment, so all of a sudden your panic stricken budget wedding becomes a trendy, greener and more ethical event how celeby is that sweetie?!!!
"We have been talking with many brides across the country and we are finding that weddings still are very much on peoples to do list, though budgets are tighter and for some, the big wedding is less important than buying or keeping their home.
Below are some tips to get you started.
Budget busting top ten tips
1. Instead of a gift list ask for cash!!
2. Reduce the number of guests attending
3. have a barbeque or hot buffet instead of a three or four course meal
4. Hire your wedding dress
5. buy your grooms wear from the high street such as Primark
6. Do your own hair and make up
7. Borrow a friends flashy car for the transport we all have a flash Harry buddy
8. Use cava instead of champagne and house wine isntead of all those fancy wines nobody can pronounce
9. Make your own favours
10. Use single flowers instead of huge arrangements
