Our good friends Bruce Finlay and Charlotte Ford got married in a civil ceremony at Belfast City Hall on Saturday 30th April 2011 the day after the Royal Wedding! So we were all in whimsical romantic mood when Bruce finally made an honest woman of Charlotte.
Friends and family attended the ceremony at City Hall – the highlight being the Star Wars medal ceremony theme being played as newly married couple walked down the aisle together – much to the amusement and delight of all the guests. Charlotte’s hair even had a stylish nod to Princess Leia!
Charlotte’s lace dress looked absolutely stunning considering she’d had the gorgeous Freya just months before hand – an unexpected engagement gift with all the romance of the proposal in Thailand! Freya looked super cute and was so well behaved all the way through – an absolute credit to her mum and dad.
After photos at the fountain in the grounds of City Hall, the wedding party walked in procession, across the road to Ten Square and we feasted on bacon butties while we all caught up on everyones news and craic before settling down to a sumptuous 3 course dinner and one of the funniest best man speeches we’ve ever witnessed.
