Belfast hairdressers Tania Carey and Holly Lewis of Zuni Hairdressing on the corner of University Street and Botanic Ave in Belfast have been jet setting to London to work backstage styling the hair at the London Fashion Week catwalk shows.
Tania has worked the previous 2 LFW seasons on the Peter Pilotto show doing beautifully groomed hair, but jumped at the chance to work with Ali Pirzadeh doing the always eccentric Ashish show.
L’Oreal Professional session stylist Ali Pirzadeh created the hair concept for the show and managed the creative team of hairdressers, including Tania, who recreated his concept on each of the models for the show.
His inspiration was “Punk girls who are too cool to go to the hairdresser. Home-dyed, dirty-looking DIY fringes.
“Tania said “We used a lot of product in the hair taking the wet look trend to a whole new level and with the addition of contrasting clip in fringes keeps this fashion show hair super edgy. This is definitely a look for the catwalk only!
In both shows – from quirky Ashish to the classic glamour of Barbara Casasola the key product was L’Oreal Professional Wet Domination Shower Shine Spray – but as you can see from the photos – the final looks were worlds apart!
Holly Lewis worked with L’Oreal Professionnel session stylist Adam Reed, styling the hair for the fabulously glossy Barbara Casasola show. Adam’s concept for the hair was “The texture of grunge hair but with a healthy, high-shine finish”
Holly said, “The hair was styled to be given the ‘next day after an expensive blow-dry’ look. Beautifully groomed but a little unkempt. It gave her models a gorgeous but undone vibe.”
